CHICKEN RUN, the debut film feature from Aardman, directed by Academy Award-winner Nick Park and Academy Award-nominee Peter Lord, went straight to the top of the UK box office chart with a five-day gross of 4,930,584 pounds sterling (US$7,450,000) from 455 cinemas, giving it a per-screen average of 10,835 pounds sterling (US$16,400).
