Here lies William Moffatt Sr., a soldier stationed at the lonely edge of Portsmouth's Cedar Grove Cemetery.
The off-center stone atop his grave is so scarred by the elements that his name is barely discernible. The bottom right corner of the 6-by-3-foot tombstone has broken off. There are no flags, no flowers, no hint that somebody remembers who he was.
But this Revolutionary War veteran is not completely forgotten.
