NEW YORK, May 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Bio-Technology General Corp. (NASDAQ: BTGC) announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has today issued a U.S. Letters Patent No. 4,742,004, on a method for producing enzymatically active human copper/zinc superoxide dismutase (hSOD), a substance believed capable of substantially reducing the tissue damage occurring after a heart attack or other trauma.
