Dick Clark's been busy since New Year's Eve. On his list of resolutions for the year 2000: open a hoppin' diner complete with an old-fashioned soda fountain in Schaumburg.
Actually, Dick Clark's AB Diner (the "AB" stands for American Bandstand, of course) opened in early December. But the grand opening, including an autograph signing/fan photo op with the ageless Dick Clark himself took place earlier this month.
Located next to Loews Theaters at The Streets of Woodfield (formerly One Schaumburg Place), Dick Clark's AB Diner serves a carefully selected mix of old-time diner favorites and Chicago must-haves plus a few of today's trend items.
