CINCINNATI, July 7 /PRNewswire/ --
Great American Insurance Company, one of the oldest insurance companies in the United States, and the Cincinnati Reds, America's first professional baseball team, are joining forces. At a press conference on Friday, July 7, 2000, the two organizations announced a 30-year agreement under which the new home of the Reds will be named "Great American Ball Park." Great American, founded in 1872, is the lead member of the Great American Insurance Group and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of American Financial Group, Inc. (NYSE: AFG).
