RUPERT MURDOCH counts, among his journalistic holdings, two television stations, one in Boston and one in New York, and two newspapers-the Boston Herald and the New York Post-in the same cities. Since federal rules prevent common ownership of a TV station and a newspaper in the same market, Murdoch has been operating in Boston and New York under a waiver.
