Your Dec. 26 editorial states that the Union Mission ``maintains a taut ship'' which the Norfolk City Council should let ``dock on Monticello Avenue.'' May I suggest that The Virginian-Pilot is steering the wrong course? The Union Mission should not sail to Monticello Avenue - it should remain at its berth on Brooke Avenue and be overhauled.
The Union Mission did not initiate its proposed voyage, as stated in the editorial. As previously reported, the only reason the Mission is considering weighing anchor is because of pressure from city officials.
