It seems a long time since we've had a Western movie and, even more exciting, this one is set during the Civil War - a period that is always ripe for drama and social change, even if it's a breeze and not a wind.

But before you get saddled up, buckaroos, be advised that ``Ride With the Devil,'' in spite of its gung ho title, is not the ride that Randolph Scott or John Wayne would have ridden. This is one of those gosh darned SERIOUS Westerns - the kind that insist that folks ...
