As good will ambassadors, three Suffolk high school students recently sang and danced their way through several cities in Japan.
Kaitlin Bowles, Maggie Chambers and Shavon Holland, who attend the Governor's School For the Arts at Old Dominion University, were chosen to travel with ``The Voices of Virginia'' to Osaka, Hiroshima and Kitakyushu to give daily performances in schools and theatres. In celebration of the 40th anniversary of sister cities Norfolk and Kitakyushu, Dr. Hiro Hamada invited the group of 25 Hampton Roads teens to visit Japan.
An ODU martial arts instructor, Hamada is also the president of the Japan Educational Cultural Center. ...
