Precious family heirloom pinched at pub
It was about 1 a.m., Mo & O'Malley's Irish Pub was packed with St. Patrick's Day revelers, and the green beer was flowing.
After spending last Friday night playing his bagpipes throughout downtown at bars and along the streets, Jim Roberts simply didn't think.
He left his treasured family heirloom sitting on a chair by the door while he walked a friend outside. When he returned minutes later, the bagpipes had vanished.
No one in the pub knew where they had gone, including the doorman.
``We asked everybody . . but nothing,'' said Gudrun Seeger, owner of the Granby Street establishment. ...
