Twenty-eight years ago, Norfolk police officer Larry Robbins decided to turn his lifelong hobby of collecting into a new career.
He opened Candl Coins and Stamps, a shop selling coins, stamps, baseball cards and other memorabilia.
When the Norfolk native graduated from Old Dominion University, he wanted to serve in federal law enforcement.
At 31, he was told he was too old to join the Federal Bureau of Investigation, so he became a Norfolk police officer.
