Jul. 8--Ticketmaster Group Inc. said Thursday that it will shut two call centers one in Dallas and another in Denver and lay off 557 people in September.
After Ticketmaster's parent company, USA Networks Inc., purchased rival Precision Response Corp. in early January, both companies' teleservice systems were put under review for consolidation.
The Dallas and Denver call centers are the first such closings to be announced worldwide since the acquisition, a company spokesman said.
