A magnetic membrane switch has attracted a number of new followers. DuraSwitch Industries Inc. holds a patent for the device, and has licensed four manufacturers over the past several months. Delphi Automotive Systems of Troy, Mich., took out a license, with an exclusive for the auto market, and picked up an option to buy almost 20 percent of DuraSwitch for about $13 million. That's at $7 a share, but the price is subject to adjustment, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Other, nonexclusive new licensees this year are Jayco in Corona, Calif.; Memtron Technologies of Frankenmuth, Mich., and Markit Graphics of Australia. Xymox ...
