To describe Metorex as a junior is perhaps misleading, and Simon Malone uses the terms 'second tier' or 'niche' mining company. Whatever label one chooses, it is certainly the leading company of its type in South Africa and has a wide ranging portfolio, producing copper, cobalt, zinc, coal, antimony, fluorspar and manganese dioxide. It also has a good mix of mature and developing operations.
