African-Americans can be racist toward other African-Americans. This is, in my opinion, what happened late last month at a mall in suburban Detroit, where a black man, Frederick Finley, was reportedly killed by a black security guard.
Finley was shopping with his stepdaughter. They were followed out of the store by five mall security guards, who accused his stepdaughter of shoplifting. In the altercation that followed, the guards put him in a choke hold, with one of the guards allegedly pressing his knee against Finley's throat. Finley choked to death.
