PROJECT OVERVIEW:
Germany-based BAYER AG recently established a polymer technical center in the Jingqiao Development Zone of Putong, Shanghai. This is reportedly the first polymer technical center the German company has ever established. In so doing, BAYER is proposing to invest $917,000,000 in the technical facility, which is expected to be ready for operation by May 2001.
The center will also be responsible for coordinating with the SHANGHAI CAOJING CHEMICAL INDUSTRY GARDEN regarding its whole package of investment projects. These will reportedly call for a commitment of $2,500,000,000 to build a polymer manufacturing base. The planned complex will ...
