If you think you have asbestos in your home, the best thing to do is to leave it alone, safety experts say.
As long as asbestos is undisturbed and not releasing fibers into the air, it isn't harmful. But if consumers disturb asbestos by ripping out, sawing, sanding or drilling old asbestos-containing products in the home, the results could be deadly.
