Twenty-seven down, two to go.
The unbeaten Kennewick girls sidestepped a huge obstacle in the state 4A state basketball tournament last night with a 53-46 quarterfinal victory over second-ranked Lake Washington.
Kennewick seemed to have an answer for everything Lake Washington tried, with one glaring exception - Cathrine Kraayeveld, the Kangaroos' 6-foot-3 senior who scored a game-high 26 points.
``Their big girl, Kraayeveld, played phenomenal,'' Kennewick coach Debbie Roueche said. ``It took our whole team to match that.''
The Lions did offset Kraayeveld's assault with a balanced attack, led by Heidi Mensinger's 16 points. Heather ...
