The present and future of the Seahawks' running game crossed paths in the locker room and on the practice field yesterday, and the first meeting between leading rusher Ricky Watters and first-round draft choice Shaun Alexander went better than anyone could have anticipated.
Much better.
``He gave me a whole lot of compliments right off the bat, so that's always a good way to start,'' Watters said with a laugh between practices as the club opened its three-day minicamp.
The icebreaker for Alexander, the versatile, productive back from Alabama? His older brother Durran went to Notre Dame - Watters' alma mater.
