Amid the hullabaloo surrounding the sale of the Wilt Chamberlain 100-point ball last Friday, another notable relic passed quietly into the hands of a new owner.
The infamous ``Mookie ball'' that went through Bill Buckner's legs and allowed the New York Mets to beat the Boston Red Sox in Game 6 of the 1986 World Series sold at auction for $63,945.
The ball's previous owner, actor Charlie Sheen, consigned the ball to Leland's auction house, along with another 100 items from a baseball collection he started building in 1989.
