Moving quickly to replace former Chief Financial Officer Debby Hopkins, The Boeing Co. has reached into its own executive ranks and named the chief of its military products unit in St. Louis to the job.
Boeing Chairman Phil Condit also announced yesterday that Harry Stonecipher, president and chief operating officer, has agreed to remain
an extra year past his planned retirement next May.
Calling Stonecipher an important ``agent of change'' for Boeing, Condit said he asked him to stick around a while longer. Last week the company's board of directors waived for Stonecipher the company's policy of mandatory retirement at age 65.
