For South Korean companies eager to do business in North Korea, the Pyongyang-Nampo belt and Sinuiju will be the most promising areas, a private research institute said yesterday.
Hyundai Research Institute said the areas will emerge as the most prospering regions with brisk business ties with South Korean enterprises, expedited by recently thawing inter-Korean relations.
The institute stated that South Korean companies wanting to advance into North Korea should carefully consider the North's regional characteristics, infrastructure facilities like ports and roads, the economic compatibility with neighboring countries and labor availability.
