LORO PIANA ENTERS U.S. BY ACQUIRING WARREN OF STAFFORD
Lanificio Loro Piana & C. SpA, Quarona, Italy, one of the world's leading weavers of cashmere and other precious fibers, has acquired Warren of Stafford, Stafford Springs, Conn. Purchase price was not revealed.
Sergio Loro Piana, co-managing director of the 176-year-old Loro Piana, said in an interview here Wednesday that the sale will not change the management or current operations of the 135-year-old Warren of Stafford, one of the world's largest producers of camel hair fabrics.
