SAKS JANDEL OPENING STORE FOR YOUNGER CUSTOMERS
Saks Jandel, the Chevy Chase, Md., furrier and designer apparel retailer, plans to open a new, more casual store this week aimed at younger customers.
The 3,200-square-foot shop, called The Right Stuff, will open next door to the 15,000-square-foot Saks Jandel store and is expected to do $1,250,000 in its first year. At Saks Jandel, furs take up 4,000 square feet. The remaining 11,000 square feet are devoted to apparel, which accounts for $10 million in sales annually.
