Buzz Aldrin, the second man to walk on the moon, is among four air and space pioneers to be inducted into the National Aviation Hall of Fame this year.
Aldrin, fellow astronaut Eugene Cernan, ace World War II combat pilot Thomas McGuire and military pilot Laurence Craigie will be enshrined July 15.
Founded in Dayton in 1962 and later established by Congress, the aviation hall has more than 150 inductees, including the Wright brothers, Charles Lindbergh and Neil Armstrong.
