Paint and paper are always options for covering walls, but using fabric is another method of giving your rooms the perfect background.
Here are three ways to use fabric on walls:
The first fabric application isn't all that difficult. All that is needed is liquid starch and a fabric that can stand up to the starch bath.
First, be sure the walls are clean.
Next, soak the fabric in the starch.
Finally, smooth the starch-soaked fabric onto the wall, overlapping the fabric a bit, because it will shrink when it dries.
This works very nicely when you are working with drapery or upholstery fabric, or bed dressing, that comes with companion fabrics.
