A midsummer kind of magic, both bad and good, has been swirling around the Cincinnati Ballet's upcoming performance of ''Cinderella.'' First, Rene Micheo, one of two dancers in the role of the Prince, seriously injured his knee after having learned a sizable portion of his part. Then Leah Elzner, who originally was to dance the role of Cinderella opposite Micheo, announced to the company that she is three months pregnant.
Ms. Elzner is still dancing - beautifully - although she is feeling some fatigue. When she danced with a wooden broom over her head during rehearsal Tuesday, her gestures suggested that the broom sure felt heavy.
