Plans for a performing arts school complex in Over-the-Rhine have been drastically scaled back from an expansive $200 million project to one that is estimated to cost $60 million to $71 million.
Planners said the final cost estimates could be even lower.
''The $200 million was for the entire complex, not just the school, but a performance center, a recording studio, a community center and even a gazebo in Washington Park,'' said Norma Petersen, executive director of the Greater Cincinnati Arts and Education Center.
