After a marriage of more than 25 years that often puzzled their friends, Dr. Richard and Karen Sharpe drifted apart over the past year, even while enjoying spectacular financial success.
Friends said Richard Sharpe is a driven, Harvard-educated plastic surgeon who married his college sweetheart. They soon had their first child, Shannon.
