In the Human Resources community, the current "buzz" term is "strategic Human Resources management," and we talk about the "strategic" role of the HR function. Naturally, we think we know exactly what that means, but we often wonder whether the executive leadership with whom we wish to be "strategic partners" understands what we're talking about.
