NORTH HIGHLANDS, Calif.-Sleep Train, a fast-growing West Coast bedding chain, is a few cars lighter after the company sold its 24 stores in the Portland, Ore., and Seattle markets to Fenway Partners, a New York investment company.
Fenway also owns Simmons Co., the third-largest U.S. bedding producer, and Sleep Country USA, a 30-store chain based in Kent, Wash.
The sale price was not revealed. Sleep Train still owns 36 stores in the Sacramento and San Francisco markets, selling Simmons, Sealy and Stearns & Foster. The product line is not expected to ...
