ATLANTA -- The denim jacket has found its legs and is as hot as it was in the Sixties counterculture days.
This year, they've proved to be one of the hottest spring items, and retailers are now pushing the jackets -- in new washes, colors and shapes -- as a wardrobe staple.
"Two years ago, you couldn't give a denim jacket away," said Jami Lyn, who owns an eponymous store in Beverly Hills. "Now they're a basic, as important as T-shirts, and they are replacing sweaters as a key item."
