Marshfield resident, George Alex is receiving a Canine Assistants Service Dog from Stop & Shop and Milk-Bone. Stop & Shop's vice president of operations, Jim Murphy and the Canine Assistants founder will meet the recipient on Thursday, July 20, 2000, at 10 a.m., at the Super Stop & Shop, 65 Newport Avenue, North Quincy, Massachusetts, along with a service dog similar to the one that Stop & Shop is sponsoring for Alex.
Alex, a forty-nine year old man from Marshfield, Massachusetts, suffered from a stroke and is now paralyzed on his left side. He uses a manual wheelchair for mobility. His dog will assist him with tasks ...
