OMAHA, Neb.--America's lawyers have once again thumbed their nose at their clients. Despite demand from large and small businesses, consumer groups and individuals of every stripe, the American Bar Association's House of Delegates has voted to ignore its own study panel's recommendation that lawyers be allowed to offer services jointly with other professionals.
Whether it's starting a business, buying a home, arranging health care, planning for retirement or setting up an estate, more and more of life's routine matters require the services of lawyers and non-lawyers alike.
