FTC COMES UNDER ATTACK FROM ABA, TEXTILE MARKETS BY HAL TAYLOR
WASHINGTON (FNS) -- The Federal Trade Commission in the last months of the Reagan administration is facing at least two important concerns -- an American Bar Association investigation of the commission itself and industry complaints over the lack of activity in policing of textile and apparel mislabeling.
The ABA about six weeks ago called for the establishment of a task force to study the purpose and performance of the FTC in both antitrust and consumer protection.
