After investigating a mother's claims that an Elgin Area School District U-46 bus driver harassed her 9- and 11-year-old daughters, calling them names and a racial slur, the Elgin Police Department has passed the matter onto the Kane County State's Attorney for possible prosecution.
"We feel that the information she gave us was credible," said detective Lt. Scott Davis.
"Our investigation sustained what the mother alleged, and we have referred the matter to the state's attorney for prosecution."
