Jul. 22--PRINCE GEORGE, Va.--Ace Hardware Corp. announced plans yesterday to build a $38.5 million distribution center in Prince George County.
George W. "Bill" Bailey, the county's economic development director, said it is the largest initial corporate investment in county history.
The 778,000-square-foot distribution center is expected to create nearly 325 jobs and add more than $300,000 to the county's tax base.
The additional tax revenue is equal to a 4-cent increase in the real estate tax rate, Bailey said.
