HCFA has released information on the adjusted community rates (ACRs) and plan benefits packages (PBPs) for calendar year (CY) 2001. At a Web site created specifically to issue and collect ACR/PBP information (http://www.hcfa.gov/medicare/cy2001.htm), managed care organizations are to submit proposals for an ACR and a PBP for CY01 for each Medicare+Choice plan, identify each plan's service area, and ensure that ACRs and premiums reflect the plan design and service area. All information must be submitted to the health plan management system (HPMS) via the Medicare data communication network (MDCN).
