Two South Korean Vietnam War veterans are believed to be residing in North Korea currently, the Defense Ministry said yesterday.
The ministry identified the two veterans as Army Staff Sgt. Ahn Hak-su and Sgt. Park Sung-yol and said both defected to North Korea during the Vietnam War.
``However, it is uncertain whether Captain Kim In-shik is now in the North,'' a ministry official said. In its 1994 announcement, the ministry classified Captain Kim within North Korean territory.
