FOR generations of Coventry bookworms George John Thomas Collier, who ran the popular Church Bookshop, was a bookseller to rely on (Any Questions, July 5).
Few realised though, that he was a bound apprentice for six years to George Over, the famous Rugby businessman. Under his expert guidance he learned all there was to know about books. Born in London in 1896 and educated in Rugby, John Collier became a keen churchman and attended St Andrew's Church.
