David Zaragoza followed somewhat in his mother's footsteps when it came to choosing a career. "My mother has been involved in law enforcement most of her career," Zaragoza explains. She was a dispatcher for the sheriff's department and now is a family support officer for the district attorney's office. "She has always encouraged me to pursue a career in law enforcement and she was a great role model."
It is with this passion that Zaragoza performs his job as agent in charge of the California Department of Corrections' Santa Maria Parole Subunit. He feels very strongly about doing what he does: dealing out justice to both the public and the offenders he serves ...
