The newest version of LoanUpdate will enable real estate agents to check on the status of their clients' loans during the origination process.

At a press conference at the National Association of Mortgage Brokers annual convention here, NetUpdate chief executive Tom Gonser said his company is linking mortgage and real estate partners together in a secure transaction environment.

He noted that up to 30% of the business mortgage brokers receive comes from real estate referrals.

Real estate agents can track documents, loan processing steps and send and receive messages that will make sure closing is progressing as scheduled.
