OSCAR GOES STRETCH
Oscar de la Renta Expressions has moved in a new direction with its cotton and Lycra spandex sportswear.
With all the de la Renta touches from ruffles to lace, this 18-piece spring-summer collection, being shipped to stores in March, stands to do $1,500,000, according to Jeffrey B. Bogatin, president of Oscar de la Renta Expressions, a division of Whitemarsh Industries, Inc., the licensee for the designer's knit and woven related separates.
"This is the sexiest line Oscar has ever done," said Bogatin. "A lot of what we do here is streetwear; this is an entirely different look."
