CONSERVATIVES OPPOSE INF TREATY
WASHINGTON, May 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Conservatives throughout the United States are almost unanimously opposed to ratification of the Intermediate Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty, according to a poll conducted by the Conservative Caucus (TCC).
In a TCC poll of 47,000 conservatives in all 50 states during April and May, 92.2 percent opoposed ratification. Only 5.6 percent favored ratification, while 2.2 percent did not answer the question.
The conservatives are highly suspicious of Soviet compliance, with 95 percent agreeing that the Soviets cannot be trusted; 4.2 percent expressed the belief that "Gorbachev is a ...
