Jul. 30--CENTER FOCUSES ON MAKING LIFE BETTER FOR THOSE IN NEED: If you judged Ronnie Lowe's predicament in terms of virtual reality, you might compare him to someone standing in quicksand and being asked if he would mind holding a 500-pound weight for a while.
But that wouldn't take into account his indomitable spirit and steel-like belief that he can make make life better in the communities of Lancaster, Wilmer and Hutchins.
As executive director of Lancaster Outreach Center, a United Way agency, he is determined to raise up those who seek help in one of the lowest-income sectors of Dallas County.
