WASHINGTON _ The endorsement of the 1.4 million-member Teamsters union, a muscular supporter of Democratic candidates in past national elections, is once again up for grabs.
For the first time in years, Republicans are making an aggressive push for Teamster support, talking openly about their hopes that the union will throw its vast organizational and financial clout behind presumptive nominee George W. Bush and other GOP candidates.
