Before anyone falls into the trap of asking Dennis Miller what he thinks of Drew Bledsoe, it should be clear that ABC's risky "Monday Night Football" hire isn't even a self-styled football expert.
He's a fan - supposedly a knowledgeable one - with a sharp wit and an annoying habit of laughing at his own oft-profane jokes.
Miller - joining fellow newcomers Dan Fouts, Eric Dickerson, Melissa Stark and mainstay Al Michaels for tonight's Patriots-49ers Hall of Fame Game (Ch. 5, 7 p.m.) - wasn't picked for his gridiron smarts any more than blonde bombshell Stark was made a sideline showcase for her verbal skills.
