ATLANTA -- As profits at the textile mills are gradually improving, carding equipment manufacturers are beginning to reap the benefits. Carding sales are on an upturn, and companies said they believe the recently passed CBI bill will help even more.
And, carding equipment makers made sure they had a good product to offer once the mills started loosening those purse strings. Companies have made improvements in quality and in speed to address textile mills' demands for productivity and quality gains. Both American Truetzschler and Draper-Texmaco have cards that produce a sliver so uniform and clean that drawing can be eliminated in some cases.
