TOKYO, Aug 4 Asia Pulse - NTT Communications Corp. would carry out its acquisition of the Colorado-based Internet service provider Verio Inc. as planned, having already signed a sale contract, the companies jointly announced Thursday.
The announcement is in response to the recent volatility of Verio's stock price amid the ongoing inquiry into the deal by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S., a law enforcement body that examines foreign investments for national security risks.
A joint statement issued by the companies said they will continue cooperating with the committee in its investigations.
