Pianist Daniel Barenboim, playing music of Liszt and Albeniz, Ozawa Hall, Tanglewood, Lenox, Thursday
After 50 years of performing, pianist Daniel Barenboim might be expected to dodder onstage and play early Chopin. But he's in full vigorous trim now (it helps that he made his debut at age 7). And Thursday night in Ozawa Hall at Tanglewood, he presented a piano recital that is still ringing in the heads of the audience.
What an audience it was - packed with musicians, friends, fans and others lucky enough to have gotten a ticket. Barenboim played a fascinating program of 19th century classics.
